The Athenian Symposium for the Arts and Sciences is a new event sponsored by the Barony of  Axemoor that will promote the arts and sciences through both competitions and classes. This event is open to anyone interested in teaching, learning and/or competing.

One competition that will be held at this symposium is a Medieval Iron Chef!
This competition will be between two teams, each composed of five associates or culinary artisans that have not achieved Grand Chef or Peerage rank.
The teams will each be guided by a Grand Chef as they prepare a five-remove feast sampling for 35 guests. every member of the team will be expected to contribute one of the removes for the feast sampling and talk during their remove about the food and techniques used.
Overall Best Criteria Judging will be a panel of five selected culinary experts and high table guests.
To make the experience even more interactive, all guests of this feast will be given tasting note cards and an additional prize will be given out for crowd vote.

How To attend

Because of the scope of the feast and limited seating, this activity has a separate fee of $30.00 to attend. This covers one attendee for 10 sampler courses and beverage pairings at each team’s discretion. We are dedicated to maintaining the ambiance and setting to fit both the scale of the craftsmanship involved and the price tag of this feast.
You can register for this activity through a separate PayPal form on the Gleann Abhann Kingdom website HERE
